Mashhad, Dushanbe Chambers Sign Trade Co-op Pact During Khorasan Razavi Delegation Visit to Tajikistan

A new cooperation memorandum between the chambers of commerce of Mashhad and Dushanbe is set to give traders from Iran and Tajikistan a more practical framework for exhibition participation, standards alignment and business exchanges, as Razavi Khorasan’s governor led a delegation to Tajikistan.

Signed at the Dushanbe Chamber of Commerce, the agreement is aimed at developing trade interactions and making it easier for economic actors from both countries to operate. During the meeting, officials discussed allowing Iranian and Tajik traders to use domestic rates in the two countries when attending exhibitions, and agreed to expand exhibition cooperation.

They also reviewed arrangements for Tajik economic actors to take part in the Mashhad Mining Exhibition, due in the Iranian month of Azar, with emphasis on ensuring their attendance and allocating booths to Tajik traders. Another topic was the acceptance of Iran’s national standards for goods imported into Tajikistan; it was decided that the necessary follow-up would be handled through the Dushanbe Chamber of Commerce.

At the end of the meeting, the head of the Dushanbe Chamber of Commerce and Tajik economic actors were invited to visit Razavi Khorasan in the coming months at the invitation of the Mashhad Chamber of Commerce, in a move intended to further expand trade and economic cooperation between the two sides.

The chamber-level agreement comes amid a broader acceleration in Iran–Tajikistan economic engagement, with Tehran and Dushanbe pursuing closer cooperation in energy, transport, logistics and industry.
