Iran and Belarus are preparing to deepen economic ties, with bilateral trade reaching $76 million in 2025, according to Mehdi Babaei, Director General of the Central Asia, Caucasus and Russia Office at the Iran Trade Promotion Organization. The figure was announced ahead of the 19th Iran-Belarus Joint Economic Cooperation Committee.
Agricultural and petrochemical goods accounted for the largest share of Iranian exports to Belarus, Babaei said. The upcoming meeting, led by Iranian Minister of Industry, Mining and Trade Seyed Mohammad Atabak and his Belarusian counterpart, will focus on trade, industry, agriculture, investment, health and pharmaceuticals, and stronger private-sector cooperation.
The two sides are expected to sign a memorandum of understanding between their industry ministries. Delegates will also meet Belarusian Prime Minister and other officials. In addition, Iran will open a dedicated trade pavilion for Eurasian Economic Union member states at the InnoProm Belarus exhibition.
