The International Exhibition of Building and Construction, scheduled for August 18–21 at the Tehran Permanent International Fairgrounds, is set to become a key milestone in expanding technological ties between Iran and South Korea, with a special focus on building industrialization and modern construction methods.
According to Mojtaba Mahallati, Deputy for Support and Planning of the Iran Cooperative Chamber, active negotiations are currently underway with South Korean counterparts to enhance technical cooperation. He noted that the presence of South Korean companies at the exhibition could play a significant role in boosting Iran's export capabilities and facilitating broader commercial exchanges between the two nations.
Mahallati placed particular emphasis on the operationalization of a previously signed memorandum of understanding between Iran's Ministry of Transport and Urban Development and South Korea. "We are determined to turn this exhibition into a turning point for implementing that agreement," he stated.
Beyond financial investment, Mahallati stressed that the primary objective is knowledge transfer. "Our goal is to bring the latest modern technologies in building industrialization to Iranian specialists and combine them with local expertise," he explained. This synergy, he added, could dramatically enhance both the speed and quality of construction projects throughout the country.
