Khorasan Razavi, Tajikistan Chambers Seal Tripartite Deal

Khorasan Razavi’s Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture, the Iran-Tajikistan Joint Chamber, and Khatlon Province’s Chamber have signed a tripartite memorandum to deepen trade ties, connect businesspeople, spot investment opportunities, and expand private-sector cooperation.

The agreement, reported by IRNA, is seen as a step toward stronger economic cooperation and joint projects between Iranian and Tajik firms.

On the sidelines of the “Khatlon 2026” investment conference and an agricultural, industrial, and handicraft exhibition in Bakhtar, Khorasan Razavi Governor Gholamhossein Mozaffari met Khatlon head Davlatali Said. Mozaffari highlighted the regions’ sisterhood agreement and Iran’s readiness for provincial cooperation in agriculture, food industries, pharmaceuticals, and building materials.

Said welcomed Iranian entrepreneurs’ activity in Tajikistan and stressed practical implementation of agreements. He pointed to Khatlon’s cotton output—about 100,000 tons annually—plus textiles, logistics, tourism, food industries, and irrigation needs, inviting Khorasan Razavi’s technical expertise, especially in water management.

Both sides called for a joint working committee, a future cooperation roadmap, and direct private-sector dialogue. Mozaffari’s delegation arrived in Dushanbe on October 20; Tajikistan is among Khorasan Razavi’s top three export destinations.
