Iran’s Minister of Finance and Economic Affairs Seyyed Ali Madanizadeh held talks with Chinese Ambassador to Tehran Cong Peiwu on Monday evening, reaffirming both nations’ commitment to deepening their long-term strategic and economic partnership, IRNA reported.
During the meeting, Madanizadeh praised Beijing’s consistent backing, particularly in the face of hostile actions against Iran, and characterized the four-point peace initiative recently put forward by China’s president as a positive step toward restoring regional security and balance.
The two officials underscored the need to accelerate bilateral trade and investment ties, and agreed to finalize arrangements for convening the joint economic cooperation committee before the end of the current year. To that end, technical teams from both sides have been tasked with preparing the necessary groundwork and implementing follow-up measures.
