A New York City plainclothes police officer was shot in the head late Saturday while attempting to stop a man he suspected of carrying a handgun. Officer Brian Moore, 25, was recovering on Sunday as detectives continued to investigate the case, the fifth shooting of an officer in as many months, USA Today reported.
