The photo book ‘Iran’ was unveiled at the 22nd Beijing International Book Fair (BIBF) at the New China International Exhibition Center in the Chinese capital on August 29.
On the fourth day of the five-day fair (August 26-30), the unveiling ceremony of the book with photos by Mahdi Tirani was held by Iran’s Cultural Fairs Institute (ICFI) and the Iranian Embassy in Beijing.
The book contains pictures of Iran’s tourist attractions as well as photos depicting its rich culture and civilization, IBNA reported.
ICFI participated in this round of the fair, representing Iran with over 300 books on religion, history, children and adolescents, literature, Persian language education, Iranian studies, art and tourism, in Persian, Arabic, Chinese and English languages.
The 22nd edition of the fair attracted 2,302 publishers from 82 countries, including the US, France and Japan. The UAE was the guest of honor at this year’s event.
Introducing Tehran International Book Fair, inviting publishers to attend the 29th event and holding meetings with heads of other book fairs were among the activities of Iran pavilion in the event.
Over the past two decades, BIBF has been an important event to publishers, and has received major support and participation from domestic and overseas book and publishing industries.
During this period, it has introduced excellent books from around the world to China and leading Chinese books to the world.
